My name is Sandeep Bains. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) from the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I completed my internship under the supervision of an experienced psychotherapist Dr. Laurie Ponsford-Hill. During the internship, I got extensive experience with individuals in anxiety, depression, sleep anxiety, social anxiety, perinatal and prenatal care, post-partum, relationship issues, Depersonalization Derealization disorder, career counselling, and regularly provided the psychoeducation to my clients. I am providing the counselling sessions under the supervision of Dr. Laurie Ponsford-Hill.

Empathy and compassion are the respectful understandings of other feelings and free others from sufferings. I want you to know that this therapy space is a confidential and a safe place of inner peace, positive energy, acceptance, love, and emotional support. Come as you are and it’s okay to have problems and I will welcome you with my open heart and without any judgement. I am meeting each person exactly where they are in their journey with integrity, compassion, kindness, active listening and unconditional positive regard. You have the power to alter your life by changing your attitudes of mind. I am interested in working with adults and women from all backgrounds.
My areas of exploration and expertise are: relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anger, emotional disturbance, trust issues, self-esteem/self-worth issues, over-responsibility for others & people pleasing, women’s health issues, weight loss, diet and nutrition, career guidance, behavior issues, spirituality, and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach is based on the evidence-based modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion-Focussed Therapy (EFT), Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative, Motivational Interview, and Solution-focused and Mindfulness.
I am running a Women health and wellness counselling program that includes, weight management, nutrition and diet, how to overcome from the abusive relationships, life & work-balance, self-care practices, anxiety related to health-care procedures, anxiety to drive a car, and movement therapy (Yoga).
I will help you to explore your inner strengths to achieve your set goals. I am a good listener, kind-hearted, empathetic to value, respect your emotional state, and cultural background. I will work together to connect and regulate your inner body and mind. I am providing in-person and virtual therapy so that you can feel comfortable, and you can enjoy the therapy from your own preference.
Throughout my 19 years of being a registered nurse and educational journey, I have had the privilege to work with countless individuals from diverse culture and health issues. I guided them through the process of assessment, interventions, and self-care teachings about the healthy lifestyle. I believe to provide the evidence based and the holistic care that includes physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of the clients. We will work together to enable you to recognize and identify patterns of behavior or emotional pain that can pose problems in managing difficult situations and relating effectively to others.
