About Kathleen:
Experiencing life’s transitions is very challenging. Whether these changes are personal or shared, I am here to help you navigate your own transitions. Change is especially difficult when we are young and working to reach developmental and emotional milestones. However, I can assist children and teenagers work through those challenges by helping them develop healthy coping strategies and learn to identify as well as manage their emotions. Regardless of your age, life’s transitions can be overwhelming, but they do not need to be dealt with alone.
I apply evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), including mindfulness techniques (MBCT) to my counselling work. I also recognize all clients are experts of their own lives; therefore, I adhere to a client-centered approach in our sessions.
I offer counselling sessions on a sliding scale. Our sessions may be in-person (London, Woodstock or Port Stanley), through videoconferencing or over-the-phone. If you are interested in working together, we can set up a free 15 minute consultation.
My areas of focus include school issues, grief and stress.
